NinjaTrader 8 Editor Conflict Resolution
OSYSTIC completed a scoped compatibility-recovery engagement after a required third-party NinjaTrader 8 AI/strategy package caused the NinjaScript Editor to crash. Investigation isolated persisted assembly-reference configuration regenerating invalid references inside the NinjaScript project. A deterministic reference rebuild restored editor opening, F5 compilation with zero errors, and restart stability.
The challenge
A required third-party package broke the NinjaScript Editor, but uninstalling the dependency was not an acceptable workflow remedy. Ordinary binary and cache cleanup failed because stale persisted assembly references were continuously regenerated inside the NinjaScript project.
What OSYSTIC built
OSYSTIC separated physical DLL state from persistent application metadata, reproduced the issue on a clean baseline, and isolated dependencies. Sanitizing the persisted reference set and rebuilding a deterministic reference model allowed required vendor assemblies to be successfully re-enabled.
Engineering Highlights
- Established a known-clean NinjaTrader baseline and reproduced the package-triggered crash independently.
- Ruled out the corrupt NinjaTrader.Custom.dll hypothesis through systematic dependency isolation.
- Identified stale persisted assembly references regenerating within the IntelliPrompt assembly-loading path.
- Sanitized persisted references, reset generated project state, and rebuilt a deterministic reference model.
- Reintroduced required vendor assemblies and verified editor startup with zero-error compilation.
Capabilities
- Dependency Isolation
- Configuration Forensics
- Assembly-Loading Diagnostics
- Deterministic Baseline Recovery
Public Evidence Boundary
Published artifacts are strictly sanitized to exclude client identity, proprietary code, licensed binaries, account identifiers, and commercial records.
Outcomes and validation
- Clean NinjaTrader baseline established and package-triggered crash reproduced independently
- Persistent reference metadata identified as the decisive failure layer
- Reference model rebuilt deterministically with required vendor assemblies re-enabled
- NinjaScript Editor opened normally after restart with F5 compilation completing with zero errors
