NinjaTrader Cross-Trade Risk Automation
A custom NinjaTrader 8 execution and risk automation panel was developed to map analysis instruments to micro contracts, compute fixed-dollar position sizing, and manage chart-driven order geometry with automated OCO protection, breakeven, and trailing stops.

The challenge
Discretionary futures workflows required analyzing a full-size contract while executing a mapped micro contract, with risk defined in exact dollar amounts rather than arbitrary quantities. The system also needed robust handling of pre-fill versus post-fill states, safe account gating, and strict termination to prevent orphan protection after flattening.
What OSYSTIC built
OSYSTIC engineered a NinjaScript/C# custom chart panel and risk engine separating analysis instruments from execution instruments, enforcing explicit review and confirm steps, utilizing native OCO protection, and implementing defensive terminal flatten guards.
Engineering Highlights
- Separated analysis instruments from execution instruments with automated point-value risk calculation
- Implemented fixed-dollar position sizing based on initial stop distance and execution-instrument economics
- Engineered transient-risk protection to prevent invalid chart geometry from cancelling valid pending entries
- Synchronized local chart previews with broker-confirmed working prices to prevent desynchronization
- Created terminal flatten boundaries and account-wide defensive cancellation to eliminate post-flatten order recreation
Capabilities
- Cross-instrument execution mapping
- Fixed-dollar risk sizing
- Chart-driven order geometry
- OCO protection management
- Breakeven and trailing automation
Public Evidence Boundary
The public showcase contains no client identity, confidential NinjaScript source code, account identifiers, provider credentials, private screenshots, or commercial terms.
Outcomes and validation
- Full-size analysis to micro-contract execution was validated for two primary futures families under controlled simulation and live UAT conditions.
- Post-fill protective Stop and optional Target creation with a shared OCO relationship was successfully verified.
- Final Close All validation confirmed a flat position, cancelled protection, and no orphan protection recreation.
